Extended Family Photoshoot: a fantastic gift for grandma
I love giving my parents photos of us, the kids, and them with them. So what better idea than having all the family together and having an extended family photoshoot?
I want to give them something special, not just another cooking book and a sweater. But ultimately, you want to give them something as unique as they are.
As a Mississauga Family Photographer, I am more inclined to think that photographs are the best gift you can give. But really, photos are so important. Your memories captured forever are priceless.
What makes an extended family photoshoot so unique? It captures your entire family together.
It captures not only your family with your parents but your sisters, brothers, cousins, grandparents, and everyone else who is part of your unique family.
You will have photos of the moment you were together, the entire group, in the same place.
An extended family photoshoot captures the grandparents with their grandchildren.
My kids rarely get to see their grandparents, especially since we all live in different countries. So, every time the grandparents visit, we capture it. I catch the extra love they give them, all the hugs and kisses.
After this, I will also capture each family individually.
I will do a mini-session for each family. You will get a family picture and images of your kids alone and with each parent.
I also like to focus on all the cousins together.
I will ask one of the adults to help me get the attention of all the cousins, and together, we will get those smiles and silly faces.
In the end, you will be more relaxed knowing the more "formal" images are done, and I will capture the playfulness within the family.
I let you and your family's personalities dictate what comes next. For example, some like to dance; others want to tell jokes and laugh pretty hard. And during this moment, I capture more natural images. The images will show how you feel being all together.
And a couple of weeks after, you will have a gallery full of images showing your extended family's love and joy.
